Sole S73 Treadmill Review

ur Sole S73 treadmill review examines the entry level non-folding treadmill from Sole that’s suitable for joggers and serious runners alike – how does it measure up?

If you’ve read a review of Sole treadmills before, you’ll appreciate the justifiable plaudits they’ve received from both satisfied customers and reviewers.

The S73 is the entry model of three in Sole’s non-folding treadmill range.

It’s essentially the F83 without the mechanics necessary to fold the machine up.

Now the F83 folding treadmill is a great machine, but it isn’t our tip for best buy in the fold-up range, so how does the S73 fare?

Sole F73 Treadmill Review – Features…

Suffice to say, the S73 shares the same powerful 3.0HP motor, 12mph max running speed, excellent Cushion Flex Whisper Deck, big 2 3/4″ rollers, 15% incline facility and generous dimensions. Now we don’t want to repeat ourselves, so check out our F83 review for the low down on the S73’s sister model.

When you get down to it, there are two main difference. The first is the lack of a folding mechanism – no kidding!

The result is a very slightly more stable machine, although you’d be hard pressed to notice! Especially as it’s 10lbs lighter at 250lbs.

If you have the space to leave your treadmill set up and have no need to fold it away in a cupboard or corner of the room, then you may be tempted to purchase the non-folding S73. It’s also around $100 cheaper!

The second difference are the dimensions – the S73 has a slightly smaller deck at 75″ long by 30″ wide compared to the F83’s 78″ by 33″.

As a result, the running surface is also slightly smaller at 55″ by 20″, compared to the F83’s 58″ by 20″.

For most people, the couple of inches difference won’t be noticed, but it may be a factor for taller runners for whom a bigger deck may be more acommodating.

If you are tall and want a non-folding treadmill, then the S73’s bigger, longer brother, the S77 may be a better option.

Whilst the F83 suffers from being sanwiched between the cheaper and quite excellent F80 and the outstanding F85, the S73 has no such problem.

It provides outstanding value for money and is as good a non-folding treadmill as you’ll get in it’s price range.

Whatsmore, you get Sole’s class leading warranty – lifetime warranties on the motor, deck and frame, a five year warranty on the electronics, belt and rollers and a two year labour warranty.

Sole S73 Treadmill Review – The Bottom Line…

Our Sole S73 treadmill review has no trouble in concluding that this is a tremendous treadmill that delivers superb performance on every level.

If you’re looking for a non-folding treadmill in the $1,500-$2,000 range, then you won’t go far wrong in shortlisting the S73.

You simply won’t find all the S73’s features on most treadmills under $4,000, and the Sole warranty is exceptional.
