Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer Review

Our Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer review investigates a genuine contender in the mid-price bracket that offers a lot for the money – how does it stack up?

The E35 is the second of four models in the Sole elliptical trainer range and is a step up from the entry level E25.

It costs a few hundred dollars more than the E25, but for our money offers a better deal with a better build quality, more solid feel and extra features.

So, how does it perform?

Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer Review – Features

Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer

The E35 shares the same key features as the E25, such as the excellent 20″ stride length crucial for taller users, and the superb Whisper Quiet Drive System with state of the art eddy current braking (ECB) resistance. If you’ve read our review of the E25, you’ll be aware of how impressed we are with Sole elliptical’s and our Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer review is no exception.

The E35 also shares the oversize foot pedals with an ergonomically designed 2 degree inward slope to reduce the stress on knees and ankles.

However, the E35 has some extras that for our money are well worth the extra $200.

For a start, there’s the 30lb fly wheel, which contributes to a more stable machine and a noticeably smoother ride.

The E35 is also longer than the E25 at 82″ and heavier, weighing in at 190lbs – heavier to move than the E25, but adding to the overall stability.

You get the same 16 resistance levels as the E25 but double the workout programs at eight.

There’s still no heart control feature – you need to go up to the E55 for that, but there is a wireless heart monitor.

The E35 comes with a more generous warranty than the E25, with a lifetime warranty on the frame, 5 years on the parts and electronics and 2 years on the labour.

The MSRP for the E35 is $2,299.00, but its currently on sale direct from Sole at $1,299.99 including free shipping.

Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer Review – The Bottom Line…

Our Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer review would conclude that if you’re in the market for a mid-price elliptical in the $1,000-$1,500 category, then the E35 will be hard to beat at the sale price.

Is it worth the extra couple of hundred dollars to upgrade from the E25? In our view yes it is, as you get a more stable machine with a noticeably smoother ride.

Throw in the warranties and free shipping and you get a superb, durable machine that will give you years of comfortable home workouts.
