Sole TT8 Treadmill Review

Our Sole TT8 treadmill review takes a look at this top of the range treadmill from Sole – an extra wide belt and powerful motor for the serious runner!

Built to perform in a commercial environment, the Sole TT8 is a solid, robust and reliable machine with an extra wide 22″ belt – potentially a great performer for serious runners looking for a heavy duty, non-folding treadmill for home use.

So how does it check out…?

Sole TT8 Treadmill Review – Features…

Sole-TT8-Treadmill
This is not a common component on most treadmills, certainly not in this price range and is something that might well attract larger runners looking for more space in which to workout. The most notable feature of the TT8, which sets it apart from the rest of the Sole non-folding treadmill range is the wide 22″ belt.

Not only is the belt wider, it’s also 60″ long – again suitable for runners with long legs and a lengthy stride.

A longer, wider belt may also come in handy for fast runs and sprints, where the larger running surface will be more forgiving in the case of stumbles and rapid changes of pace.

Ally the generously proportioned belt with a powerful 3.5 HP motor – by far the biggest in this price range – and the 15% incline and you have a treadmill built for hard and frequent use.

When conducting our Sole TT8 treadmill review, I found the machine to be very solid feeling and extremely stable – hardly surprising at 300lbs!

As far as home users are concerned, find a space and leave it there. That’s an awful lot of treadmill to move around!

The TT8 has the excellent Cushion Flex Whisper Deck found on most Sole treadmills, which is very comfortable, forgiving and kind on sore joints.

This is in no small part due to the huge 3″ rollers, extremely unusual – although welcome! – on a treadmill at this price.

The TT8 comes with all the bells and whistles found on the other higher end Sole treadmills – controls on the arms, excellent and easy to read Tri colour console display, wireless heart rate monitor and heart rate control, six preset training programs…

Perhaps best of all, though, you get Sole’s class leading warranty – lifetime warranties on the motor, deck and frame, a five year warranty on the electronics, belt and rollers and a two year labour warranty.

Sole TT8 Treadmill Review – The Bottom Line…

Our Sole TT8 treadmill review puts this treadmill in the ‘best of breed’ non-folding treadmills in the under $3,000 category – at the sale price of $2,499.99 it’s practically unbeatable value!

The TT8 delivers the outstanding performance on every level that the serious runner is looking for – it’s unlikely to be bettered in treadmills costing nearly twice as much.

However, the TT8 is somewhat extravagant for the casual runner or jogger – the excellent Sole F80 would be a better and cheaper buy.

But if you are a serious runner in the market for a durable, solid and stable treadmill that will take the toughest punishment, then look no further – the TT8 is certainly worth your consideration.

The question I often ask myself is why people pay as much as $5,000 for treadmills that will deliver little if any more for their money than the TT8.
