Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer Review

Our Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer review looks at Sole’s top of the range, club quality elliptical aimed at commercial and home-users – how does it perform?

The E95 is the fourth model in the Sole elliptical trainer range and offers all the features and performance that you’d expect of a range-topping machine.

A step up from the E55, its a bigger, heavier machine that offers greater durability and performance than its stablemates.

It will need to go some to outperform the excellent E35 and E55 – so is it significantly better to justify the extra cost?

Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer Review – Features…

Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer

In many respects it is as it shares some key features, but it offers a little bit more in some areas. On the face of it, our Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer review would suggest that this is essentially the same machine as the E35 and E55.

It shares the smooth Whisper Quiet Drive System with state of the art eddy current braking (ECB) resistance and the huge 30lb flywheel.

The 20″ stride length – a boon for taller users – is the same, as are the oversize foot pedals with 2 degree inward slope to reduce knee and ankle stress.

The E95 shares the E55’s foot pedal angle adjustment feature, which is found on machines costing in excess of $4,000, but not on ellipticals in this price range.

The pedals adjust to suit the way you walk and as a result, are claimed to reduce the toe numbness and sore Achilles tendons that can occur with regular and prolonged use on some elliptical trainers.

The E95 has a heart control feature, as does the E55, which enables the machine to monitor your heart rate and automatically adjust the resistance and intensity of your workout.

So what else do you get to justify the extra $200 price tag?

For a start, the E95 is the biggest machine in the range, measuring 82″ x 33″ and weighing a whopping 215lbs. This makes for an extremely stable machine that can accomodate users weighing up to 400lbs.

There are plastic shrouds on the rear rails for added stability – like this machine is going anywhere!

The E95 also features 20 resistance levels, 10 programmed workouts and a club-style display – multi-coloured and packed with display features, such as graphs to monitor your heart rate during a workout.

The E95 comes with the same generous warranties as the E55 – a lifetime warranty on the frame, 5 years on the parts and electronics and 2 years on the labour.

The MSRP for the E95 is $2,699.00, but its currently on sale direct from Sole at $1,699.99 including free shipping.

Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer Review – The Bottom Line…

Our Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer review would conclude that if you’re looking for a commercial quality elliptical for home use for under $2,000, then the E95 offers unbeatable value at the sale price.

Is it worth the extra $200 to upgrade from the E55? Well, the old E75 didn’t have the adjustable pedals that its replacement, the E55 does have, so the gap between the E55 and E95 has narrowed somewhat.

The E95 is a bigger, heavier, more durable elliptical and for my money warrants the extra investment, particularly if there will be several members of your family using it regularly.

If your budget will stretch, the E95 is certainly worth considering.

Quite frankly, I’m not sure how Sole can turn out an elliptical of this quality – with free shipping and the best warranties around – when the competition can’t even get close!

Unbeatable value for money!
